Hi!
I just go my Creality Falcon A1, but i notice that the air assist always work even when it supposed to be off in Lightburn. When “off” it´s still keep going on ~10 % power.
Does the laser need constant air or is it possible to turn it off and how do i do that?
Thanks in advance!
/John
I was having the same issue when using lightburn. from what I found online the falconA1 is not properly optimised for lightburn yet. As when using Falcon design space it either turns the air assist off or uses it at less power so its not always making the loud buzz sound from the compressor. I fiddled around in lightburn with some settings to try and fix it but I had no luck so I either just deal with the air assist and sound or use Falcon design space (is very basic program but it gets me by. I do hope they do some more updates and add more features soon)
You can set these values in the “Equipment Settings” in the Creality Software, and it will be saved to the firmware/controller and should be used in lightburn.
Air Pump Flow %. The Cutting value is “On”, while the Engraving value is what will be used when it is “off”. this sets $151 and $152. There are similar values for the exhaust fan. ($180/$181).
There is also a setting for how long to run the fans after the job completes ($152).
These are all controlled by M9/M8 – M9 = Off/Low Air/Exhaust (Engraving), M8 = High Air/Exhaust (Cutting).
It’s somewhat documented in the Creality Wiki: Description for GRBL Configuration Parameters | Creality Wiki
