Creality Hi Z axis "loose" and not eve

I purchased a refurbished Creality Hi on ebay from the same company I’ve had no problems with before. It arrived late this week so I didn’t get to try things until Saturday and I’m sure I won’t hear from their support until at least Monday.

I’ve had a few problems so far such that I can’t even get to trying a test print.

(1) Filament spool holder breaks trying to go around the top bar. I printed one from the website and the same thing.

(2) While it lets me select a time zone on the screen so it is highlighted it won’t go to the next screen unless I tape “skip”.

(3) Trying to run the hardware tests during the setup it moves the z axis up but the x carriage ends up uneven so it doesn’t hit 1 of the limit switches isn’t reached and it just sounds like it is skipping something terrible so I have to turn it off asap.

(4) The x carriage is loose at the z axis. I can lift either side of the x carriage without the other moving. I looked online and watch a video about tightening some screws on the wheel carriages on both z axis. I took the top bar off, disconnected the cable and lifted the entire x carriage off the machine. The wheels ride in spring loaded supports and I didn’t see a way to adjust just the wheels. Some screws were loose on each assembly so I tightened those and reassembled with no change.

If anyone can give me ideas of what to check and what to tinker with it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

you will need to disassemble the printer completeley and check all connections and screw firmly set.
