Krear 3D - Creality K1 SE.pdf (201.8 KB)
In short, yes, it is supposed to be. But in reality, no.
According to Creality support:
“Creality K1 is not open source, but it can be rooted. The klipper portion is open source.”
This is what they just told me yesterday when I asked them to provide the source code for files in the open source klipper firmware. Violating the GPL-3.0 license, even though people have been requesting it for about 15 months now they still have not released it… If you try to modify the printer, be ready for a really stripped and locked down OS and a lot of hard-coded Cython files stopping you from making modifications.
