During testing of my retrofit chamber heater, it became obvious that the Chamber Temperature Sensor was not giving a true reading.
https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/creality-k2-k2-combo-chamber-heater
At a reading of 52oC the actual temperature was 60oC
At a reading of 35oC the actual temperature was 40oC
I decided it was probably a miss match of thermistor to the configuration so I decided to do a three-point custom calibration to correct the error.
What I found was the
-
The sensor is a match for a EPCOS 100K B57560G104F
-
The sensor is not damaged and is working correctly
-
There is a bug in the Klipper firmware it is not correctly
Translating the resistance to temperature on pin PC5
What is a mystery is the Klipper firmware is the same for the K2 & K2 Pro. If the K2 pro is suffering the same error it is no wonder people are struggling to reach 60oC as they would actually be trying to get to over 70oC
