Hello, Hope some can help. I can’t seem to be able to connect to the module via Lightburn. I seem to have misplaced the SD card which came with it, was there drivers on there which I needed to install?
I am connecting via the USB port, Lightburn cannot detect the module. Tried manual set up with GBRL but still fails to connect
Hopefully someone has experienced these issues before and found a way around it. Thanks in advance
Ian
I downloaded the latest firmware and installed it but this has made no difference
We are talking about the laser module for 3D printers, the one with the external control module?
Like this set
What happens when you plug it in? Does a new COM port show in the device manager? (or what shows via lsusb when using Linux).
Yes that is correct, where can I find the COM port settings, Also, do I need to update the drivers for the Creality Falcon?
To check if a new COM port (serial) device has appeared in Windows 10 or 11, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting it from the menu. Expand the “Ports (COM & LPT)” section and look for any new COM port entries that weren’t there before. If you’re unsure, disconnect and reconnect the device to see which entry appears or disappears.
Yes I tried that but no new com ports appear
Do I need to add additional drivers for the Creality Falcon module to be recognised?
I am told these are the drivers I need but these appear to already be installed on my PC
CH341SER.EXE
I think there may be a fault with the Creality Falcon Module
Through trial & error the device seems to be connected now using the GRBL Option. When I press Home this is what happens. No matter where I put the Origin point, Front, Back, Right & Left

If I press the horizontal microswitch the transition stops so It would appear that the transition horizantally is reversed and the microswitch needs to be moved to the right hand side. Very odd
