Hi everyone.
I have the Crealiti ender 3 Neo Max,and I start having problems with the extruder suddenly.
The factory come with controller board V4.2.2 and normal extruder. I updated to the direct extruder form creality Sprite Extruder SE-Neo,and everything was fine until one day the extruder won’t keep up with the print.I update to marlin custom firmware which allows me to speed up the extruder and everything was fine again for about 4-5 prints, after that stop working completely.I put back the original firmware but nothing worked. After inspecting I get to the conclusion the board and the extruder motor must be the problem after see he was like to try to move but he could`t.I order new board the 4.2.7 and new extruder, the same one I have even I wasn’t sure the motor was bad but I ordered anyway.I put everything together ,new firmware for the 4.2.7 board but the problem still there.I check the cables,I check the power source and everything else but still I can’t find the problem. Basically I run out of ideas, anyone else find the same problem?
I don’t know what else to do,I don’t want to throw it away because i spend some money on it.
Thank you
Does the extruder rotate at all when you tell it to extrude? I had one do this and replaced the cable, the cable had broken somehow, new cable fixed it. If you have a hardwired stepper it could be worth a try swapping that out, more expensive than a cable though.
Hi,thanks for your quick reply. You right the problem was the cable which come with the extruder to extend the original one to the hot end.The weird thing was I test it with the multimeter for continuity and everything was fine, but looks like under load was failing.I put the new cable wich come with the new extruder and worked perfectly. Now I have new board, new exteuder wich are perfectly fine🤦.I hope my problem helps anyone else to avoid buying new parts before is 100% sure where is the problem
