Creality Print 5.1 doesn't connect to K2 on local network

Hi, my K2 is connected via WLAN. It shows its status as ‘connected’ and I can also see the device on my router’s list of connected devices.
I have the latest version of Creality Print 5.1.7.10514. When I first got the K2 it worked. But since 2…3 days I don’t get Creality Print to detect the K2 and I’m not aware of any change in the setup of my PC. I tried to connect to different WLAN SSIDs (5GHz, 2.4GHz) but it didn’t help. I even tried to manually add the printer but this doesn’t work either.
Any idea what I could check to make it work again?

P.S.: What I forgot to mention: I have a K1 Max which works right next to the new K2. There is absolutely NO problem with the connection of Creality Print and the K1.

Have you tried assigning static IPs for each printer?

Not yet. On the other hand the IP is the same since ever. It seems my router doesn’t assign IPs randomly but re-assigns the same IP for devices which have been connected before (if possible).

In other words: There was never a need for Creality Print to connect the K2 with another IP then the one it was connected to in the past - when it still worked.

Update: I don’t use the Creality App very often. Today I realized that the App is connecting to the K2 printer and shows the current status of a print. But the video stream doesn’t work.

It seems I found the solution… I have WLAN access points with multiple SSIDs, e.g. für 2.4GHz, 5GHz, guests,…
By chance the 5GHz SSID was on top of the list and I connected it. Which seems to be the cause of my problems.
Now I switched to 2.4GHz and Creality Print found the printer in seconds.
I have no clue what caused this because with every SSID my router shows the connection of the K2 with the network and even Creality Cloud (working on the same machine as Creality Print) or Creality Cloud App worked with the 5GHz connection. Just not Creality Print…

Creality: Please find the cause of this behavior!

I find this interesting. I would never trust creality wifi or any other devices wifi.
For me I hard wire everything. For my K2 it is located where I cannot hard wire. So I made a 2ft patch cable and routed from the ethernet port to an ASUS router configured as an access point.

Finally, configured router (AP) to have no internet access. Simple, works great.

Yes, I will not get update notifications, but don’t care. It works great. Every 3 or 4 months, I will check for firmware/software updates and download and install as needed.

But why use Creality Cloud? I would like to know.

Just curious.

Same here. Why use anything cloud ?

I just moved my printer to another room, so I switched to wifi connection, now i cannot access my printer locally at all. I dont know what to do

Many devices cannot use 5GHz WiFi or otherwise misbehave; the K2+ appears to be one of them. Make sure K2+ WiFi is connecting to a 2.4GHz SSID. This may mean getting into the configuration of your wireless router/access point/modem.

Latest version is CP6.1.0.2041!
I would not print with V5, it has so many bugs and misses a lot of features - and it is not updated anymore!

Yeah, I figured that was the problem so I made sure my 5GHz and 2.4GHz networks were separated and connected only to the 2.4 network and still will not discover in the local network, not even manually adding it by IP but is says does not exist. So, what finally made it appear on my local network again was moving one of my remote satellite routers (Nighthawk MR60) next to it and plugin it in hardwired and Wi-Fi at the same time, if I only use one connection method it will not show up locally on Creality print, only showed up as “Creality Cloud binds devices”. I have a second K2 Plus that I purchased so I hope this is fixed soon as the satellite router only has 1 ethernet port, and I don’t want to add an ethernet switch and use up another power receptacle as my space is limited.
