The application suddenly stopped working mid a slice, then it won’t open anymore.
Already uninstalled normally, uninstalled using Revo ( completely wiping all registry and windows folders related to it ), reinstalled system drivers and redistributables related to the software, already tested the latest 5 versions, all are giving the same problem.
All other slicers are opening fine and slicing fine (Orca, Prusa, Cura, even Halot)
After the splash screen, the software shows only the top tabs, one time it managed to show more, then it just freezes. Already let it stay alone for 3 minutes, then nothing (I’m on m.2 NVME, every app opens in less than 3 seconds)
Is having the same issues. Tried to install and reload multiple time. That was no help. About to just start using orca. Seems more consistent. Really thought about not deleting the old version first and now I really wish I hadn’t.
On your PC turn off wifi/unplug ethernet, THEN start Creality Print, Cloud is down, but with no computer internet connection the software will stop polling every second!
This is outrageous. How can their software just crash if it can’t connect to the cloud instead of putting a timeout after N tries; or starting in offline mode altogether? Holy (bed) sheet.
following haven’t use printer in two months. Printed once this ,morning hen updated now software is useless. cant send anything to printer or open a file it just crashes
Thanks for this. I dont use the cloud for any of my printing, and have been frustrated at Creality Print for the last couple of hours. Killing the network connection and resorting to a thumb drive to transfer the file solved the issue. You are my hero!
So I was also suspecting it had something to do with the cloud, maybe some error while checking for updates or something (I´ve never connected it to an account).
So what I did was to block it from accessing the network using the Windows Defender Firewall - just create an outbound rule blocking the program from doing anything. It now launches and works correctly, but won’t be able to send files to the printer using the network.
It might be possible to make a less restrictive role that both launches the program and allow to send prints, but I still haven’t managed to do so
To clarify the problem a bit more: Creality print did manage to connect to crealitycloud.com, which is a cloudflare cdn/proxy, but the origin server didn’t react. I think that combination caused the software to hang. Turning off the wifi or blocking connections to the internet, will stop it from connecting altogether, which is apparently handled more gracefully.
It would be great if the software is fixed so that:
it handles hanging connections with a sensible time-out.
it doesn’t try to connect when it’s not logged in to creality cloud.
I was having the same problem with the new version. My file is painted and ready to print but it never gets pass the slicer it just gets stuck. Lucky for me I keep the older version, but it is still buggy. Because the app keeps auto changing the filament to something I did not want in certain parts. To understand more I have 4 cfs(16 color) so I want colors in very specific places and it does not run the assigned filament.
