Creality Print 7.2 PETG Temperature Bug Confirmed by Support

Just a heads-up for anyone using Creality Print 7.2 with PETG, especially eSUN PETG.

After updating from Creality Print 7.1 to 7.2, my PETG filament profiles were affected. The recommended nozzle temperature range still looked normal, but the actual first-layer and other-layer print temperatures were changed to 200°C. Because of this, the printer could not extrude PETG properly.

On the Creality K2 Plus itself, the filament still showed eSUN PETG with the correct range of around 230°C to 260°C, so the issue seems to be with the slicer/software profile after the update.

I contacted Creality support, and they confirmed that this is a bug in the latest software version. Their advice was to uninstall the current version and install an older version of Creality Print. They specifically suggested trying version 7.1.1.4472_Release while their software team works on the bug.

For now, before printing PETG in Creality Print 7.2, double-check your filament profile and make sure the actual print temperature is correct, not just the displayed recommended range.

Hope this helps someone avoid failed PETG prints.

I was searching for any topic based on what I’ve witnessed recently and this is close. Printing Creality PETG-CF and after updating versions the prints start out correctly with a bed temp of 70C but after the first 3 layers are printed it sets the bed back to 50C. All settings are correct in the slicer and profile but I’m having to go set it back to the correct value manually once the infill starts, then it will stay for the rest of the print. Never had to do this until a few days ago.
