Creality Print 6 Imported STL files snap back to the bed level when moved up on the z axis. How can I stop this from happening?

Well parts cannot be printed in the air, so at least some piece must be touching the bed. If you’re trying to stack multiple parts on top of each other you would need to merge them after importing them so they are in an assembly. You can then move them up and down as needed.
I’m having the same issue. This is super annoying as some models are not merged and are supposed to be separate parts. But when one drops to the plate instead of staying where it is, it kind of ruins the print.
Also, yes twistednexus, you can print in mid air. It’s called supports. I do it all the time in other slicers.
You ma add (to your part) a small part like a cylinder or so which you place on bed and then you can move your part up.
Thanks for the responses.
