I got the latest Version of Creality Print and did not find a profile for the ender 3 S1 or S1 pro (and no other older ender)…
Then I regretted having spend time to download and install…
Then I downloaded Ultimaker Cura latest version and they had profiles for every printer of Creality and most printers existing of companies I never knew existed…
Still I wonder why you do not want to have your customers use your software Creality? The profiles have existed in older versions of Creality Print… Why remove them?
Why downgrade your product just to annoy people not owning the newest version of your printers?
I apologize for your negative experience. The firmware and program codes of the previous products are different from those of the newer models released in the past two years. The newer products have undergone significant updates, so the current firmware and slicing software are not compatible with the older models.
However, please don’t worry. Creality Print will gradually become compatible with some of the older products, although those that are very old may not be supported. Since Creality Print 5.0 is a brand-new slicing software, the priority is to support the newer products first. Once that is done, we will gradually support the older models. I hope this answers your question.
Creality Print V5 is a brand-new slicing software designed for multi-color printing, requiring higher specifications and different software logic. Some older printers, due to their software and hardware limitations, do not support these features and thus are not compatible with V5.0. This is similar to how my old iPhone 4 cannot be upgraded because its memory and processor and so on, cannot meet new system demands. Although 3D printing is different from mobile phones, the reasoning is similar. We will strive to support older products gradually, but it may not be possible to support all of them. Therefore, I disagree with your statement that we “took time and effort to remove all the profiles that existed before compiling the newest version.”
We greatly appreciate your feedback and past support. Even if you choose not to support us in the future, we respect your decision and hope for your return someday. We always welcome everyone.
did you even know that this “Creality” brand new slicer is nothing but a reskin of an older version of Cura…
And as the printers like the V3 Ke and SE are non multicolor printers with their profiles you lying again.
Have you any idea of a slicing software? The printer has the firmware for the hardware and the slicer is just generating GCode from a model with the basic informations about the printer and the filament.
The comparison with new features in a phone is like lying again.
Creality just does not give a (Moderator Edit: Removed childish vulgar language) about their existing customer base.
There is no lying going on here. Optimus is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and he is trying to help you.
We would appreciate it If you state facts and act in a civilized manner without the childish name calling and vulgar language.
All companies phase out support for older products but it’s not your place to rag on Creality just because they don’t operate on your timeline or don’t do everything to please you…
Creality is a large growing company (10 years) albeit with some growing pains and they do care greatly about their customers.
Any helpful constructive criticism is welcome here but keep it civil.
