Recently upgraded my slicer software from Ultimaker to Print v5.1.6.
I know, Ultimaker is an excellent tool but I wanted to take Creality’s version out for a test drive. I am using the slicer on my Creality CR-10 SE 3D printer.
I started this test drive by first looking over some user manual documentation, which led me to my first bump.
While using the parameters panels on the far right of the screen, at the very bottom of the column, there is an area where it will display diagrams for parameters, to better understand that parameter, with corresponding illustration of the parameter.
My Problem: From what I can tell, the illustrations feature is not working at all. In addition, half of the illustration window is outside the boundary of the software.
I’ve looked through google.com, nothing, checked this community, nothing. I did however find on github.com, under the Creality Print pages, an area where scripts, resources, licenses, etc. parameters can be view, but I am lost as to what specific parameter link to look into where the window for the illustrations may be adjusted.
Any help appreciated, any questions will be answered.
FYI: I would love to send a pic of the specific problem, but can find where that is made.
The illustration has been outside the boundaries for every release I’ve seen from the first 5.0 version.
You know, I installed another v5.??? ver and never noticed that specific flaw. Just installed the others and they all have that flaw.
Has anyone at Creality responded to this issue and when they could possibly have a fix of an adjustable window, or at least a parameter within Settings to either view or hide based on my needs???
Is this what you are talking about:
The illustrations on mine only show if there is an example available. Some are blank because there is no example to show as far as I can tell. Maybe they are still working on one.
Like this option. There is no illustration to show like the other ones.
This is precisely the area I was trying to get information on.
After I installed the newest version, I tried clicking on several parameters with no illustration shown. What you said about some have and some don’t made perfect sense.
So I went back and specifically tried the parameters in your reply above, and still am not getting the illustration. Took it one step further and tested every parameter in both basic and advance screens, and I am not getting anything.
I wonder if that might have something to do with windows settings. Like text or graphics being enlarged by the windows display section or something else…??
My Bad…
I thought I placed my OS and hardware specifics in the original post, alas I did not…
I am running Mac OS Sequoia V15 on a Mac Studio.
Sorry
I think Jim is onto something there. I tinkered around and the image appears to only cut off when there’s nothing to display. That may actually be “normal”, it’s just odd they decided to enlarge the “blank” image and have it cut off. I can’t imagine why they didn’t just show the entire block with no green highlight, but that’s another conversation.
