I am new to Creality, but not new to coding and printing. the K2 plus is great, however the slicer does not seem to be friendly. It may be user error. When I try to make a custom filament with color, bed temp with the CFS auto mapped, I have issues when selecting a custom filament.
I can set it up, create it as a user preset, but when I select the correct filament such as custom PLA +, with any update or change in filaments on a custom preset, I get the following message:
<del>**"Please select the CFS slot corresponding to the consumables*There are consumables without mapping, only support sending"**</del>
I have the same issue withe my printer, but withe the difference that I can select the filament in the cloud. But in the later printing the printer is changing the filament without an reason and without showing it to me. So I cannot print with for example BASF PA6CF out of the CFS. I although tried to remove all outer filament out of the CFS but than the printer shows an error that the filament is empty. Did anyone finde an solution for that?
Jacob_bouchillon I assure you itās not āuser errorā; itās Creality and their sloppy programming. Iām currently on version 6.0.3.1591, and I have run into the same exact problem. These guys havenāt yet figured out that no matter how good the hardware, crappy software will turn people off & elsewhere. This problem needs a solution, one can only wait & see how long it takes, or if itās addressed at all.
Having same issue trying to use dedicated support filament. By selecting Reel 2 under āFilament for Supportsā => āSupport / raft interfaceā it seems to create a category of filament called āSup. PLAāā¦and Iāve been into the CFS settings and changed reel two to be
Brand: Generic
Type: PLA
Name: Generic Support for PLA
Before slicing click the gear in the upper right-hand corner
Click on Generic PLA and any other filament types you are trying to print with . In my case ENDR PLA was not checked. I checked it and it worked.
Was wondering about this one as well and since this is the first Google search result leaving a reference here for the next poor soul: CFS Filament Loading Guide | Creality Wiki
Apparently itās not enough that you selected the right profile and slot in the slicer, you have to load the filament from the printer as well.
Has anyone at Creality seen this post? and are you going to fix it? Not being able to use third party slicers is really bad if you arent going to fix yours. My Bambu just plain works and now I am seriously regretting buying this K2 plus Even when I change everything to use the spool holder it still is using the wrong temp settings for the filament. FIX THIS!
