We’re excited to announce the release of Creality Print v7.2.0 , bringing AI-powered workflows, enhanced multi-color printing, and improved slicing accuracy for a smarter and more reliable printing experience.
What’s New
AI Workflow (Beta)
Introduced an AI-guided printing workflow for a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
AI now assists with model import, model validation, automatic repair, and intelligent filament mapping.
Added AI-powered print risk analysis, pre-print inspection, parameter recommendations, and the AI Knowledge Assistant.
Enhanced Multi-Color Printing
Added Mixed Filaments , enabling the creation of new colors by stacking different filament layers.
Added support for importing color OBJ files with automatic color clustering and intelligent filament mapping.
Introduced Purge to Object Skeleton (Experimental) to intelligently reduce purge waste during multi-color printing.
Smarter Slicing & Better Reliability
Optimized print time estimation for single-color models, reducing estimation error to within 5% .
Upgraded the support generation algorithm with the new Validate & Repair Supports feature for improved print reliability.
Model Repair is now available on macOS and Linux , delivering a more consistent cross-platform experience.
General Improvements
Fixed multiple issues related to stability, AI features, slicing algorithms, and device compatibility.
zero interest in the “AI” features that just bloat the software unnecessarily, you should consider doing two separate versions, a proper slicer and the “AI” one
needless to say i will be sticking with older version
Not to mention that the appimage STILL crashes with …
/tmp/.mount_CrealigoEkBE/bin/CrealityPrint: error while loading shared libraries: libbz2.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Let us turn off or better yet remove the Ai features from creality print. I have run into nothing but headaches with AI being very invasive. (think of the garbage copilot is)
Could we maybe run two branches, One with AI and one without. I am AI wore out. I’d rather just have a working slicer that’s clean and fast, if it’s all the same. I’m worn Out with AI stuff.
