Creality Space Pi Filament Dryer Plus?

How do I reset my Creality Space Pi Filament Dryer Plus with ERROR E4

Turning off the printer does not reset the error. Unplug the unit so that it powers down completely. If there is nothing wrong with the unit, the Space Pi dryer will start normally after plugging back in.

What material were you drying when you got the E4 error?

In my experience, if I load up two full spools of ABS or ASA and set the temp high (around 65°C), the SpacePi Plus can occasionally overheat and throw that E4. I’ve found that moving one roll to the center position helps distribute the heat more evenly and usually prevents the error. It seems to only happen when both spools are full, so I suspect it’s a circulation issue.

That said - at least it has a safety shutoff in place. Better to get an error code than risk self-destruction… or worse… FIRE!!! :scream:

As @Philliph mentioned**, make sure to fully unplug the SpacePi unit to clear the error. Just turning it off won’t do the trick. Let it sit for 30 seconds or so (enough to fully discharge), then plug it back in and try again.

Hopefully that helps! If it keeps happening even with a single spool and moderate temps, definitely log it and consider reaching out to support!

I caused the error by leaving the door open while attending the printer.

Mine would kick that error if it was too cold in the room, when the room warmed up there wasn’t an error and I rarely unplug it
