That would be great! I currently use a seperate camera connected directly to my computer and the Windows camera App to view it.
Hi Optimus.
I just jumped back in these forum - after a long break.
When I started here, there were a couple post by people who either didnât get the SD card, or they received a defective card with their falcon laser.
I was able to share privately with some users, but my Google Drive is full and I canât spare the ~1GB anymore.
Could you please bring this back to company? It should be really easy for them to just have a zip file with the content available on some web-site for users to download.
âŚand thanks for replying to this thread - it gives some confidence that something may be done about issues reported here.
Cheers!
Hello Zolt,
That is a very good point.
I have thought before that a âStickyâ somewhere on the forum that states âProgramsâ or something similar, that new or older members can go straight to for such things as SD card files etc.
Cheers.
Hey @Radical_Data
I just found (literally 2 minutes ago!!!) in a separate post on a reply from @Barry_Arnold (thanks!) a link to some information on a Creality support page. I didnât have the chance to go through it all, but there seems to some files missing (compared to the SD). For one, the LightBurn profile - which seems to be an XML file. But at least itâs a good starting point!
The Creality site is this: Creality Falcon | Creality Wiki
The post where I found this : The MicroSD that arrived with the Falcon 2 40W is defective - #33 by Sigma365
Cheers!
My Falcon2 arrived with no card. I contacted Creality and they sent me a card - a BLANKm card with nothing on it!
I agree entirely I am in need of purchasing a new light bar for my Falcon 2 22W Pro. Have been trying for months now as to where I can buy one. They take ages to answer emails only to be asked to send pictures etc of said machine WTF I only want to be able to purchase a spare part I mean machine is under warranty, but I am desperate and would just pay for one. With all the haggling the warranty would be void anyway.
They are completely ridiculous and always want a stupid picture! I was missing the TF card on my Falcon2 and they wanted a picture! Of what - a missing part?
They wouldnât know how to provide even horrible service. They need a Global Service manager and the budget to setup a proper call center staffed with knowledgable people and a âfollow the sunâ call center philosophy!
Hi Zolt, itâs been a while! Great to see you back in the forum community!
Iâve already passed your feedback along to the Falcon team, and they mentioned that theyâll try to upload some of the requested files and information on this page: Download Latest Creality Falcon Software & firmware Manuals â CrealityFalcon.
They also noted that this page includes firmware, recommended settings, and user manuals, so feel free to check it out if everyone need any of those resources.
Thanks @Optimus for the link and the info.
Itâs great to have this online, accessible by the mass.
HoweverâŚthis is not yet perfect
The recommended parameters section they have on the site are just parameters for different materials. This is nice, but as we always say, it varies - they should be the starting point for each device.
The files that are really missing on that site are in the âSoftwareâ folder on the SD card. They include the following:
- Drivers for Win7 (debatable if this is absolutely necessary, but since they are on the SD cardâŚ)
- LaserGRBL (PDF & Video that explains how to configure it)
- LightBurn (Profile to import to LightBurn, and a PDF that explains how to do it)
The LightBurn profile, and the 2 PDFs (LightBurn & LaserGRBL) are the most important parts.
EDIT: The sample files should also be there as they are tuned in for each laser machine, This is also a good starting point when trying to troubleshoot issues with our devices.
Quick note: For people trying to reach the site, if you get a message (bottom portion of the screen) that you seem to be from country XYZ, simply click the X on the top-right of the popup, or youâll be redirected to your countryâs Creality Falcon store.
Hello Zolt.
I have re-posted this as it is quite important and annoying if you donât do it.
Cheers.
I was trying to help @ebojd with his profile settings for LightBurn (Profile settings) and thought Iâd go on the CrealityFalcon site to see if it was thereâŚunfortunately, itâs one of the important files that isnât on their side.
@Optimus - could you try to push them to put that file on there? (sorry again to put you on the spotâŚ)
Cheers!
I sent an email to the company of Falconâs staff, but they donât have a confirmed time yet.
Thank you @Optimus and @Zolt. With any luck, they will set something up â these configuration files should be publically available. As a note, just before unpacking the files that @Zolt sent me, I found the original files. Iâve got them saved on my machine, AND placed in a place that when I pull off the enclosure it does not go flying⌠Lesson learned.
