Hey guys, I am testing a custom build plate for proper PP adhesion. This build plate is 1.4mm thicker than the original one. During Auto Level Calibration and print preparation I get CZ2768 (Z-axis homing issue). This seems plausible since the system doesn’t know about the additional 1.4mm. Where can I tell the system to take the extra 1.4mm into account? Your help is highly appreciated! Cheers, Alex
Honestly I haven’t tried but my quickest guess would be changing the printer.cfg through the web interface of the printer. Find max height and reduce it by 1.4mm also the bed mesh safety height needs to be adjusted by adding 1.4mm
In the slicer open printer settings and reduce the max build height by 1.4mm
Make sure to make note of the original setting you change so you can revert if needed. Also make sure to write down the final values you use. When a new firmware updates the config and you run in the same problems again.
After making the changes save them and restart the printer. After restart do the auto level calibration.
If any questions remain dont hesitate
Hey Marco, thanks for your support!
I have a different printer job running right now but I’ll give it a try asap.
