Has anyone here tried cutting polyester fabric with the Falcon or any other diode laser? Being reading some conflicting reports about how effective it is…CO2 lasers apparently work but seems the diode based lasers get mixed results? Polyester fabric is thin though so I would have thought it would work quite well…
It will surely cut especially polyester that is not transparent or white very well, but you have to experiment with the settings. It’s hard to say because it depends on the structure and thickness and color. I would also guess that the main problem is too much melting of material around the laser spot, so going fast could be better. But if that does not work you can experiment with multiple lower power passes etc.
Okay thanks for the advice!
