I have issue with the electric in my K1C, when i touch the metallic structure of the printer i feel my hand like there is not good electrical ground isolation and there is an issue. it is very dangerous.
Same issue with my K1 recently and I want to resolve this issue. Do you some modification recenlty ?
No I didn’t do anything there is quarante still going, I have the printer around two or three months. I am waiting from Creality someone reply .
It is a safety issue and is very dangerous ! Did you sent a report to Creality for your issue?
Hello Savas_Politis,
This is with the assumption that your water comes through copper pipes and not pvc.
Using your test screwdriver, try a water pipe where you are …
(this being with the printer un-plugged),
If it shows leakage such as the printer does, call an electrician …fast.
If the water pipe does not show a reading and you want to use the printer while you sort out the problem, run a wire from metal on the printer to the water pipe.
Cheers.
That only works if the water pipes are copper, not PEX.
Like I said
This is likely due to something like pipes or something external in your house conducting electricity and transferring part of that voltage to the outside of the machine. also you have the k1c you should have rubber feet on the bottom of the machine. my question is mind you I’m in no form and electrical engineer. how are you conducting any form of electricity into the machine in any form? if the machine is on the rubber feet, do you have it like up against a wall or something?
Many years ago I worked for Eastman Kodak assembling Carousel slide projectors. One job I did was to take the assembled projectors, plug them in, and run tests on them. One test was a HiPot test. Some had obvious problems and I could get shocked just plugging it in. Other problems showed up when I pulled a hood down which did the HiPot test which showed if there were any current leakage. All it takes is a rubbed wire or a strand of wire that did not make it into a fitting properly to leak enough current to cause symptoms similar to what the OP is experiencing.
I think this warrants a response from Creality and an RMA to get this checked out. It is never a good thing to have current leakage. Trying to work around the problem is not a substitute for getting it properly diagnosed and repaired.
One other potential cause is that the outlet, or one in the circuit is improperly wired. If you have a circuit tester, it should show whether the outlet into which it is plugged is wired properly. If not, then a multimeter is helpful. For US outlets, set the meter for 200V AC. Take one probe and insert it into the smaller vertical opening. This is the “hot” connection. Insert the other into the large blade opening (neutral). The meter should indicate current. Next take the lead from the neutral slot and insert it in the ground (U) opening. Again, you should see a current reading. Then remove the probe from the “hot” slot and insert it into the “neutral” slot. The other probe should still be in the ground opening. There should be no current. If there is current, then the house wiring is the problem. Exercise caution while running these tests and never touch the metal probe tips while doing this, not unless you enjoy being shocked.
I would like to know if any other appliance plugged into that same power socket showed a problem of leakage.
Has it been established that the “printer” is the sole problem ??
Hello everybody , the problem was the multi plug i have for the office here, so i changed it and until now there is not a problem. Thank you.
