Hi, I’ve been using my K1max with the smooth PEI bed (A Plate) with PLA filament with no problems with adhesion. I wipe the bed with alcohol between prints and give it a good wash with detergent after 10-12 prints. I normally print with a small brim, 3 to 6mm, depending on the size of the print. Never needed to use glue sticks, tape, hairspray etc.
I recently tried a textured PEI bed (B Plate), with PLA, same settings. Prints will not stick.
Are the two different surfaces intended for different materials?
Yes with a textured PEI plate you need to lower your nozzle height.
On my K1 max with textured PEI plate I use -0.05 as z offset in the printersettings.
Also You can make an extra printer profile for say the K1max for the textured PEI plate so you can choose between those.
Thanks, Tjan, I’ll try that.
