Do these printers reach an expiraation date?

After about 2 years of fairly good service, only rebuilt it 2 or 3 times and 50 rolls of filament, my ender 3 v3 se will quit extruding, clog about an hour into a print. This is very consistent and I have tried to catch it loosing hot end temperature or extruder motor problems but so far nothing. I also have this auto homing problem that I can’t cure which allows the print head to hit the right stop if I don’t control it manually. I have replaced the motherboard and the extruder board without change, updated the firmware, and replaced the hot end, extruder and extruder motor. I don’t understand why these problems still exist. Is there another circuit board that I don’t know about?

Did you replace your extruder gears unit? I had similar problems, but i solved it by replacing the extruder unit.

I read in another post that user (th38) has solved this problem by replacing the ribbon cable. I have had one coming from Creality for 30 days, on a slow boat from China I guess. They say it should be here next week. In the mean time I purchased the Bambu lab x2d which is a great printer, worlds above the Ender series. Hopefully this cable will fix my old printer and I can sell it to a fellow novice.
