On the inside top left and right of the K2 Plus is a protective film the toolhead cable protector rubs against.
Over time it gets pretty chewed up. Is it to be replaced? If so how and with what?

It sounds like you’re referring to the packing film which is only there to preserve the surface from scratches till it reaches the customer. We’ve all seen this on new appliances where the indicator panel has a thin almost cellophane-like covering that peels off. Is that what you’re referring to? If it is, it is supposed to be removed during the unpacking process and never designed for permanency.
