I recently ordered a Creality filament sensor kit. It came with a plastic clamshell cover with a foam rubber insert. I have checked my K1C and cannot see anything like it on the machine.

I’m assuming you got the sensor and it fits properly and works.
That extra piece I don’t think originally came on the K1C but it looks like you snap it over the filament before it goes into the sensor. Kind of a dust remover cleaner thingy. I’ve never seen it in the parts listing if that’s what it is.
These are sold on Amazon and look like what you have.
Thank you. That makes sense, I had a problem with the filament juddering on a long print, dismantled the sensor and it was full of fluff. Will definitely fit it to the printer.
P.S. If anyone opens the sensor be careful there is a small spring which I nearly lost as it sprung out as I was closing the case, it was difficult to find due to its size.
