Doesn't print the size I want

I’m new to 3d printing. I’ve downloaded a few projects to print from Thingiverse. I noticed that I have to/can adjust the size of the project. For the things I did, it was no big deal. However, now I’m trying to print a crank handle for my drill press. I used Fusion 360 to do so. I exported the file as an OBJ. When I open Creality slicer, it uploads as a very small project. So, I expanded it to what I thought was the size I needed (I had 2 parts and increased them with uniform scaling until I reached the desired X size on one and Z on the other. However, when I went to print, it printed smaller than what I asked it to for some reason. What am I doing wrong?

I had “Exported” the Fusion 360 file as an STL file, Creality Slicer brought it in as a larger part but it was too big (based on the X,Y,Z size in slicer). I went to print and it printed the same size as before.

A conflict between metric and imperial units?

Thanks for the quick response. I used mm in Fusion 360 and have mm selected in creality slicer. I “pulled” the project to the 100mm long (the size I used in Fusion 360) but it was about 1.5 mm small.
