I have a couple of the older Sunlu S1 dryers been running those for about 3 years, well worth the money.
Not sure if you got a reply yet but you need to dry the filament. When there is too much moisture in the filament it will become very brittle. There are various methods to filament drying from drying machines to silica packs.
Hi Bonfireman,
I looked up the Sunlu S1 and found that they are at a good price right now and so I bought 2.
They say they are upgraded with a fan ?
Any how, I am quite happy with them.
I wouldn’t go too much by what the temperature readout says though.
The sensors I added for temperature and humidity are accurate to 0.6 deg c and 3% humidity.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Cheers.
Neat looking sensor/readout, can I have the make model? Will be more useful for my shed printers than the ones in the office.
Hello Bonfireman,
Sorry but it/they are self made/programmed. Just something I am in to playing with.
If you have a friend that plays with Arduino stuff such as ESP32 or maybe something Raspberry, they could make the electronics for you and you print the enclosure ?
Cheers.
