E3 V3 KE bad screen: Bought a Nebula Pad, KE option not available

Bought a used printer. My KE’s pad is DOA (and I tried the unbricking proc, no help). The printer works fine with another KE’s screen, so I buy a Nebula Pad off ebay.

When I boot up (initial install) the pad has V3s, but no KEs. I tried USB with KE firmware, but no dice.

How do I force the pad to use a KE firmware?
