Does anyone know of a place I can insert a switch to trigger the out of filament sensor? I would like to add a tension detector to save me from bad spool wraps.
P.S. If you have a favorite filament tension detector, please let me know.
There is a filament presence sensor in the extruder. When the filament enters the extruder, above the drive wheels, it pushes a small lever out of the filament path which detects the filament presence. I don’t know if it is a mechanical or optical switch.
