Ender 3 Max - Y Axis motor turns only 1 "step"

Hi All,

I have the Ender 3 Max with the attached CR Touch Auto Leveller attached.
Mobo is Rev 4.2.2.

When I attempt to AutoHome, X and Z axis move as expected, auto leveller initialises (purple light), but the bed itself never moves, and the Autohome fails,

Have confirmed with Support here that I’m using the correct FW for the board rev + Auto Leveller.
Have completely disconnected the Z axis stop switch as this is now replaced by the CR Touch.

Moving the X and Z axis via “Move” on the menu UI works as expected - can move multiple steps in either direction.

Trying to move the Y axis however, the motor clearly turns, but only one “step” (can see the grub screw change position). However, even this movement only happens once, then I have to restart the machine (off/on) to get even this single step to work.

Have checked belt, doesnt seem too tight, and have even slackened right off and removed it from the Y motor sprocket - same thing happens, so cant be belt tension.

Manually clicked / held Y stop switch - same thing.

Completely disconnected Y stop switch - Y motor wont move at all, even the single step. Assume here that if it was a faulty stop switch or wiring (as demonstrated by disconnecting it), the motor wouldnt move at all.

Have checked all connectors, both ends (mobo and “device”), all connected and firm.

Running out of ideas here - any suggest please guys?

TIA

Seems like the only other troubleshooting step you can take at this point is to try another motor on there to ensure that the motor is good as well.
