I wonder if anyone could advise on the problems with this first layer using PLA and a Creality glass bed, it manages to stick the brim (lightly) but the start of the actual print goes wrong and I have to abort. Thank you for any help!
Hello @john_greenwood …!
Welcome to the Creality Forum…!
At first glance it looks like you need to adjust the Z offset settings to move the nozzle closer to the bed.
What are your temp settings for the nozzle and bed…?
Hi there, my print temperature for the first layer is still set at 200 but I did up the bed temp for the print that you saw from 60 to 70 on the first layer, I figured that with the glass bed it probably should be a bit hotter.
It wouldn’t hurt to bump up the nozzle temp to something like 220 and again check the Z offset.
Do a search for the Z offset as it’s been covered a lot here…
I have downloaded the Cura Z offset plugin as my motherboard is only the v1.1.4, did you mean 220 just for the first layer?, also where do you think I should set the z offset, it is at 0 now.
I wasn`t sure if my nozzle was too close or too far?
Hi, I changed my z offset to -0 .3 and I think my problem is solved… Thank you jimandyen
