Ender 3 S1 Pro + Sonic Pad

Klipper and Sonic Pad on Ender 3 S1 Pro

I have a problem with the printer nozzle which, after a certain level of printing, starts to touch the material already deposited and ruins the work from then on.

I use Cura in the latest version.

If I use the original firmware instead of Klipper, it doesn’t happen.

What could it be?

Thank you

Welcome to the Creality Forum…! Creality

I haven’t used Klipper or a Sonic Pad yet but something you might check is the extrusion rate or flow rate. It could be too much.

Thank you, jimandyan,

For me, it seems that flux is good. The issue only appears when using Sonic Pad and Klipper. The same code works well with native print firmware.

In the photo, we can see that it works quite well at the beginning, but around layer 70, it doesn’t continue printing correctly.

As this seems to happen when using Sonic Pad I think @Bonfireman or some other members are more knowledgeable about it and could offer some more advice.

I have an ender 3 s1 pro and sonic pad and use cura and have no problems with prints. Check you USB cable and connections. I use a top quality cable not the one supplied with the sonic pad. Also ensure you are using the latest firmware for the sonic pad. I would also reinstall the file generated by the pad for the s1 pro.

I get something like that on my V3SE if I use the latest Creality Print, but that will manifest in the first couple of layers, not when you get to the 70th. As Bill says a decent USB cable, block off the power line of the USB and perhaps clip on a ferrite (had to that with my Ender 5 plus, it would error randomly before now works perfectly)
