Hello everyone,
I recently started having trouble with my Ender 3 S1 printer.
All of the sudden it stopped recognizing the SD Card that came with the printer. I had a print going at one point and it stopped a little while after the print started and will not recognize or read the SD Card. I have already tried reformatting the SD Card with no luck. I tried connecting my computer to the printer via a USB to USB-C cord with no luck either.
I did try uploading the latest and greatest motherboard software from Creality before and after reformatting the SD Card with no luck either.
Could the motherboard have gone bad or should I be looking else where?
Also do I have to use an 8GB SD Card or can I get away with using a bigger size SD Card?
The customer/tech support from creality aren’t much help.
Did you format the SD card to 4096 sectors?
Bill
Make sure the SD card is clean…give it a wipe. Check the SD slot is OK and nothing is blocking it like a bit of fluff, for example. Sometimes an SD card or USB stick can become corrupted for no apparent reason. If you use an SD Card above 32Gb you will have to partition the SD card and format each partition to FAT32. It’s much easier to use a smaller capacity card to avoid partitioning via disk management.
Hope this helps
Anything up to 32Gb can be formatted as FAT32
