I’m using an Ender 3 V2 and I bought my CR Touch about 2-3 years ago. It has been working completely fine since day one. It homes correctly, does ABL without issues, and I recently upgraded to Klipper (behavior was the same on stock firmware).
However, I have never seen a Red LED on it since the day I bought it. When the probe deploys and retracts, the Blue LED blinks (turns off and on to confirm the trigger), but it never switches to red/pink when the probe stays up.
Since it has been working flawlessly for nearly 3 years, it’s clear the optical sensor logic and trigger signals are 100% functional. It seems like the internal red LED chip or its trace on the PCB was just dead out of the box.
Has anyone else seen a CR Touch where the blue LED blinks during probing but the red LED is completely dead/missing, while the sensor itself works fine?
