Hey there.
I recently discovered that the extruder of my ender 3 v2 neo is not exruding. Of course i checked some youtube videos to find out where the problem is. I first switched the x and the e axes and i found out that the extruder is now extruding. Next i opend the backplate of my printer and checked the voltage like in the ceality support videos. The voltage was fine. But then i discovered that every cable on the motherboard was glued into it with silicon or hot glue (you can see this in a attached picture). So i can’t change the cables to see if they are the problem. Now i don’t now what to do next.
Do you have any ideas? Thanks in advance, Ricardo
My E3V2N also had extrusion issues. It would start okay and then air print after 100 layers or so. this happened every time. I bit the bullet and bought the Neo compatible sprite direct extruder. This solved the extrusion problem but the added weight affected the gantry which was affecting one side of my prints. So I bought the dual z axis drive kit. During installation I managed to pull off an electrolytic capacitor from the board. Sigh. So I bought a new V4.2.7 upgrade board. This had a whole host of issues but once resolved I finally managed to get better prints. I then brought a sonic pad and it now prints very well and at nearly double the speed.
I could have bought a new printer for the cost to resolve the issues but it works and I have learned a lot.
