Ender 3 V3 CoreXZ side screen and modified toolhead

I recently bough the k1 toolhead blower to replace my ender 3 V3 blower, which is fantastic. I saw the tiny fan that the hotend and I thought, “Why not use the replaced toolhead fan?” and voila, new fan for the hotend. In the electrical part is just plug and play, no modification. The toolhead needs a little modification as seen in the pictures:

NOTE: The toolhead and the base for the fan are two separated pieces but you can make a whole piece for the toolhead, The toolhead is not my design, use the link for the STL)

I also made another modification to the screen since the printer is sideways, I need a way to view the screen clearly. I added a 40 pin extender to the screen and a base, the base is not a good looking base since it was a prototype but it held on, maybe I will replace it with a better looking one.

The 40 pin extender I used is the following:

That looks really interesting, nice work. Did you move your filament sensor somewhere new too? I see you’ve not got a full bowden tube, can you share pictures of where your spool and sensor are mounted and have you had any issues with the filament routing to the extruder?

Yes, I moved the filament sensor to the ceiling of the cabinet. Added the spool in the top, made a hole thru the PVC panel and added a filament sensor holder. I had zero issues so far from the filament sensor or the spool. Currently I am working in adding the CiiiCooler to the toolhead for better cooling.

Thats a nice looking setup :ok_hand: I dont have an enclosure but good to see other setups with better filament routing. I like the idra of moving the screen too. Using it while printing has had a couple of close calls with my fingers as the bed shoots forward.

Thank you, if you ever buy the extender cable, remember to use alcohol and a swab to remove the glue from the existing cable. Yes it is kind of awkward for the screen to be close to the bed, maybe was better on the side like previous models.

Created another post but since it’s the same topic, better move it here:
This is a modification of the toolhead to include the Ciiicooler, currently testing the benefits of this cooler. I made the toolhead and the cooler apart since I can change it to another cooler without changing the toolhead. It got a 4020 blower, but I have the original cooler with 5015 blower to test after this. It is been printing overhangs finr but will actually like to test the 5015 version.
