Ender 3 V3 KE Printing issues after hot end change

Hi All,

I had the blob of death on my Ender 3 V3 KE hapen recently.

Ordered a new hot end from Creality and replaced as per the online video.

Now when I print only the first layer prints then starts getting thinner and thinner until no filament comes out.

I have tried different STL files and filaments with the same result.

I can manually extrude filament no problem but when printing a file the issue occurs, when I remoce the filament from the extruder its soft but not melting hot like it should be however the tempreature on the machine is constant at 200-220.

Any ideas?

You mentioned the temperature is set at 200-220°C, which is typically good for PLA filament, but for other materials like HP ASA, you might need a higher temperature. Ensure the temperature is correctly set for the filament you’re using .Check if the extrusion multiplier is set correctly in your slicer settings. Sometimes, a low extrusion multiplier can lead to under-extrusion, making the print thinner and thinner. Ensure that the filament diameter setting in your slicer matches the actual diameter of your filament. A mismatch can lead to under-extrusion

I only print with PLA at this stage and I have tried reprinting items that I previously printed with no issues. I have noticed as per the attached image the filament I am removing seems to be developing a plug on it that is stopping it from being fed correctly.

Based on this I am thinking its some kind of heat leakage issue?
