Ender 3 V3 KE - Where is the port to connect to my computer or to ethernet?

I just got this printer, and I’m loving it so far. But I can’t seem to find any way to connect it to anything except for Wifi.

How do I get a physical real connection to this thing to my network or my computer directly?

WiFi only, I don’t think there is a dongle that goes to USB that does it.

While I don’t know how to use crealty print to interface with an ender 3, i do use print run and use a USB to C connector to connect my computer to the ender 3. My setup is an ender 3 pro V3 SE, my computer is a tiny win 10 machine connected to the Wi-Fi and remote access.

I will be watching this thread to see if someone can suggest a way to connect crealty print to the USB port.

Your printer and an Ender 3v3ke are like comparing apples to oranges, I suggest you open a thread for your printer for best answers.

The reason I responded to this is because how do you connect the computer to the printer matters as does the software you use to interface. I’ve poured over the manual and do not see anything that would do this using any other printer interface software other than what I have. A simple 6 foot USB to usb C connector will do the basic mechanical interface. After this the original poster will have to workout his software probably through this thread.

Or to put it another way

The V3KE does not have that port (but the plastic still has the hole for it, same chassis). Like I say apples and oranges, I have both machines. There is a USB-C port on the back of the screen but that I believe is just for flashing the screen. There are 2 normal USB ports on the screen for nebula cam.

Don’t know if you can connect this to the other USB port, presumably the printer needs rooting (easy to do) and some form of driver installing.

i am able to use Wifi to get orca slicer and other things to connect to it, i just in principle really hate that its wifi only. im gonna try the ethernet usb adapter, but if that doesnt work i might return it. i might look into rooting it, but if thats going to be whats required going forward i dont want 3d printers to be as locked down as phones so ill find another printer that actually has ports on it

Might I suggest a Qidi Q1Pro, awesome autoleveling like a Bambu but very much cheaper, has the benefit of a heated enclosure for the more engineering filaments. I think all printers are a little locked down, Creality less than Bambu they seem to have got more locked down from what I have read.

Forgot to mention the hardest WiFi connection I had to do was with my Anycubic resin printer, Had to connect your phone to scan a QR code to use the phone as some form of intermediary to connect to WiFi, took me days to sort that one out. Fortitude of an Ox is sometimes needed or being able to bang your head against a wall long enough to make a hole. Probably a better vernacular could be had.

My K1 Max has an ethernet port on the back. Got it last year in September or so. I’m not sure though if the newest models still have it.

My SE has a USB-C on the left side close to the SD reader. If not then WiFi it is.

It does but mostly it won’t connect to a PC and communicate you could try Cura, seems to work with the USB-C.

On the side is your usb port connection plug into pc/ tablet whatever you use your slicer set up printer in creality slicer if your using mark as printer
After sliceing send to printer thu usb

Hello Wayne_Shaffer,

It depends on the model as to wether that will work/
For example, it will not work with the Ender 3 V3SE with Creality print but may with Cura.

This is why many have the Nebula or Sonic pad attached.

Cheers.
