I have owned this printer For 3 weeks now and have just been thrilled with the quality of prints and speed and durability. I have run a multitude of brands and types of filament through this printer and has handled all with ease. The filament holder and location of runout sensor are the only modifications I had to make, for personal preference only.
Hello @Tracy_Nickel …!
Welcome to the Creality Forum…!
Good machine. Had one for a couple months now…
Always looking for a better way to mount the filament. I tried a top mount but never really got it secure and the filament kept hitting it when it went up.
I saw this filament holder for the Ender-3 V3 Plus but I think it fits the Ender-3 V3 also.
Scroll to the bottom of the page to download the stl file…
This is the spool holder I made, and sensor mount I used.https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1HFmkle4yCgcbzFj6Z_2Yy_90zIzNqJ5M?usp=sharing
That is the file I used to make my final one.
Oh you have the PLUS. I missed that… DUH…! Ok… I do like the larger build plate on that one…
I’m still looking at the top mount options…
I actually have both and extremely happy with both. So happy I have never posted on a forum before in my life till now.
I kept trying till I realised how much the weight affected the vibration in the input shaper. that is why I ended on the side like I did.
That is happiness…
Glad they are working good.
If you do have an issue or question about one of them we have a lot of members on here that will have a great answer…
Have Fun.
You could make one that sits beside the printer and doesn’t hang off of it…
Little brother to the Ender-3 V3 PLUS
Thinking of using a dry box and doing that. Getting the dual pi dry box and setting it in betweeen the 2 printers and don’t have to change my runout sensor setup then. Just different ideas. its all so awesome.
