Does anyone use the flow rate test?
I understand the idea of how important flow rate is - but I have zero luck running that test in default.
And if I make adjustments to it to make it work (e.g. increasing the temperature a lot or slowing it way down), aren’t I skewing the results? I mean I’m not going to leave the printer at 30mms when I get decent results at 120mms with the default flow rate settings.
Have you used that test in creality print or orca? And what was your experience with it?
I have run them, though not on my V3SE, they do give me a ballpark figure to aim for. I tend to adjust in a similar manor to z-offset, if I see it starting to wrinkle, I’ll adjust it down in 5% steps. Not very scientific, printing by feel/sight but using the flowrate test gives me a starting point. Mostly been using Orca of late.
I saw that on a previous post. I was under the impression you were more of a creality print guy.
Is it because of the v6 update the other guy was mentioning and problems with that version?
I tried version 6 and it just doesn’t see the sonic pad, therefore I can’t use it to print easily whereas I can in Orca. Normally I do stick with the brandmade slicers, Creality Print Qidi Studio, Anycubic photon, Luban (Snapmaker), the first 2 I now use Orca, the last 2 I still use as they work best with their printers. Sure I will try the next version of Creality Print to see if they fix it.
