When I print it starts good for some seconds then filament starts to come thin or no filament please help. I do bed test z offset and open the clog again but the same failure happens
I tried different slicer programs but the same thing happens.
I have the same printer and when I start my print it doesn’t begin when it is supposed to so the first and/or second pieces of the print aren’t printed and it ruins the whole print. When I get it to get past the first layer or two I run into the same problem as you.
Z offset looks about right but I would question if the surface is clean enough. A good wash with dawn/fairy and a wipe with IPA may fix that. Clog could be too low temp at the nozzle or a bad nozzle.
What temps and filament are you using…?
check your hotend cooling fan…most clogs stem from the fan not working and cooling it off, and heat creep gets past the heat break and up into the heatsink where it hardens forming a clog…almost all my clogs over the past 7 years are from this very thing
Hello James_Rogers,
That is a very interesting bit of information to remember/keep.
Thank you for that.
And my fan on hotend working properly actually, but I will double check there.
Thanks.
200 or 220 for nozzle and 65 for bed. I use pla filament
I changed nozzle and after reading your post I cleaned again the plate but no changes at all
So could you solve it, what was the problem dude?
Looking at that picture your extruder is gripping far too tightly, needs loosening off. There is an adjustment screw to the right hand side, back it off a couple of turns, its way too tight at the moment.
