Hello,
I just bought a brand new Ender 3 V3 SE and unfortunately I haven’t been able to complete a single successful print yet.
The filament loads properly and the extruder gear rotates freely when I press the lever manually. However, during printing, the motor makes a working sound but doesn’t push the filament forward.
Nozzle is clean, and I’m using 205°C for PLA. When I push the filament manually during an extrusion command, it flows correctly — so the motor seems too weak to push it on its own.
I tried increasing the extruder current using M906 E800 via Cura and Creality Print, but it didn’t solve the issue.
Retraction and flow settings are all within normal recommended values.
How can I test if the extruder stepper motor is faulty?
Would swapping it with the X or Y motor be a valid test?
It’s quite frustrating to face this kind of issue with a brand new machine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
