my ender 3v3se is auto homing in the wrong spot its homing at the right middle so it isnt supposed to do that. and whenever it calibrates it thinks the bed is farther right than it should be so it runs into the z axis beam and makes a grinding noise. any help would be appreciated ![]()
This seems to be a very common problem on the SE. No one has posted a fix for this including Creality.
Most responses and Youtube videos talk about problems with limit switches which fixed some units prior to the SE. I have replaced the limit switch board, checked the cable between the head and the motherboard, replaced the motherboard with one from Creality causing temperature alarm to sound. I put my old motherboard back in to get the printer working but can’t get a refund on the defective one. I also updated the software with no improvement. I have printed many rolls of PETG in this condition by turning off the machine and manually moving the head to the left before starting the next print. I am very disappointed in Creality for not dealing with this problem and treating all SE owners as newbies thinking they will leave the hobby or buy another of their products. I for one will keep using this printer until I can afford the Bambu Lab PS2 then throw the SE in the trash where it belongs.
