I’m very new to 3D printing and trying to help my son fix his printer. I believe the problem is related to what is going on during the leveling procedure. I have a video of what it is doing but when it is taking the measurements, it is trying to take the 3rd or 4th measurement off of the bed. I have to think there is a calibration issue somewhere somehow. Additionally, after this procedure when it returns to what I believe is a “home” location, it makes loud “grindy/grinding” noise as it moves. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Here is a video.
Can’t access the video sorry, it says it is private.
Sorry about that, the video is now public.
I would try to reflash the software on this. Have you recently updated the firmware?
It looks like it is calibrated for a much larger printbed.
Yes looks like it is trying to the right things in all the wrong places. It should home to the centre and check the level in the corner, looks to be bending the base down because it is too far from the strain gauge.
Thank you all for your help. In the process of trying to upgrade the firmware I accidently reset the configuration which I assume is to factory defaults. This appears to have fixed the problem. Thanks again!
