Hi, after a couple days of using my ender 3 v3 se with the nebula pad, Smart kit installed I had a couple big prints I had to complete But a couple minutes after starting The front I started hearing these terrible grinding sounds of the nozzle hitting the infill and outer and inner walls i immediately shut off the printer and inspected the print. It appears that the Printer did not move up to the next layer. I repeated the print, but I stayed next to the printer and Observed I could clearly see and hear the Z skip. The weird thing is my slicer settings were exactly the same as before, and I had the acceleration limit for the motor to 200 mm/s even after slowing down, it’s max speed. It still appears to be going the same speed and is ignoring the slicers boundaries of what the printer motion systems capable of there’s no way on the nebula pad itself to adjust the settings so I’m guessing it is a error code because I do have similar issues occurred during auto bed levelling the Y axis motor would skip when moving to the next probing point causing inaccurate levelling data. I have no way to slow this down right now so I’m still waiting on Creality fix this
Which slicer? I get that on my V3SE when I use 5.0/5.1 but it is fine with 4.8.3. No such problem with my V3KE. Which infill? If I use grid it drags a lot, both printers, I use gyroid instead, no dragging.
Can you post the contents of some of you cfg files? printer.cfg and printer_params(sp?)
hello everyone
happy new year
did you manage to solve this problem?
because i ran into the same problem yesterday and i’ve been reading forums but i haven’t been able to find a solution.
i’ve used both orca and creality slicer and the same…
If you can find printer.cfg change the Y axis stepper see the next bit:-
[tmc2209 stepper_y]
uart_pin: PB13
run_current: 0.60
sense_resistor: 0.150
stealthchop_threshold: 0
interpolate: false
Change the 0.6 to 0.75 or 0.8, I also changed the X stepper and Z stepper but didn’t need to.
Try disconnecting the camera and see if it still skips
