I have a Ender 3, I guess it’s the basic version just says ender 3 on the sticker, anyway the sd card slot quit reading the sd card so i figured i would just get a new board, the v4.2.7 , supposedly this was a plug and play setup just install it plug it in and print, apparently not the case. I installed the board, plugged it in and everything was bumping into the limit switches, belts jumping, the display just lit up blue, the bed started heating like crazy. Up til now it has turned out some amazing prints and i really like it but i have just about had enough. I double checked the connections, all seem to be ok. Don’t know what to do next.
Hello !
Can you check what is the current slicer of the motherboard ?
I can’t because the display is just solid blue. I’m considering putting the old 4.2.2 board back in, at least the display would work and show something.
Was ender 3 firmware installed on the board? This board is used in several creality printers .
Before putting back the v.4.2.2, I would try to flash the firmware. Do you know how to do it ?
I have watched a couple of You tube videos on how to do it but it seems very confusing, they talk about downloading programs and moving file around, have no clue.
I don’t know, it said it came with a bootloader pre-installed.

However, did you install a BL-touch ?
If the ender3 is a standard model - No crtouch / BLTouch then go to this sight and down load this zip file. unzip and Goto the 427 directory and copy the .bin file onto a SC card insert the sd card into the printer then turn the printer on.
after a short time the printer should display correctly
You sir are a genius, worked like a charm, thank you soooo much. Had visions of it sitting there like a big paper weight. Thank you.
