Ender 3V2 mainboard upgrade to 4.2.7, and Touch Screen

I have managed to salvage two Ender 3 V2 units with 4.2.2 mainboards but without displays. I purchased a 4.2.7 mainboard and a Creality Touch Screen Kit and have installed them in one of the units and downloaded the 4.2.7 firmware for both the display and the mainboard. I have put the associated .bin files on two separate fresh SD cards and inserted one at a time into the slot with power disconnected then connected the power and switched the unit on. There is a slight delay then the screen becomes active with 4 icons but with Chinese characters. Has anyone had experience doing this upgrade? I am at a total loss!

Is this message working? It appears greyed out :frowning:

i had the same with my upgrade to 4.2.7 with knob screen, then i had to find in chinese
how to get to the lauggauge changing, to make it english.
i assume if you touch one of the icon you get to a next menu?

I have managed to update the firmware in the display so it now shows the Creality Ender 3 banner in English but that is all it does, there is no touch activity which there was when it was in Chinese. The problem I have is that the firmware update for the 4.2.7 is proving nigh impossible :frowning:

okey then i cannot help you there, i hoped you had the same issue i had.
but still i find it very confused how they work on there site, to update your
product, with outcome, you have a problem now.

Thank you, will keep working on it
