I have recently started working on an ender 5 max and the bed levelling is way off, the auto levelling fixes nothing. Can anyone help?

Are you hot leveling it? Once a month, I heat my bed to 80 degrees and let it heat soak (sit) for about 20 mins before I run auto leveling. I honestly never look at the mesh display - I just run prints with no issues.
I always run bed leveling from a hot bed. Even the Enders heated up before they performed bed leveling or auto leveling. The mesh is nice but just to give you an idea of where your leveling is. If you do any maintenance on printer, perform a bed leveling.
