I am new to printing and am having reasonable success, however I recently changed to a pla silk fuscia filament and am having mid print stoppages, I and running 0.4mm tip, 100mm travel, 220 temp, 50 bed, retraction is at 2.0 @ 50 mms. and printing a standard quality. It literally just stops in the middle of the project and when I do a resume it leaves a small knob of material which it then comes around and hits and knocks the component off the bed any ideas ??? Do some Filament brands /colours require different temps?
Mine has the exact same issue. It happened out of the blue. I do not use the printer a lot, but certainly did not make any changes. I tried upgrading to the latest firmware, which has (unfortunately) not changed anything but set the main language to Chinese but for now that is ok because I know the menu by heart.
As mentioned, the issue described by Gary is 100% the same that I am experiencing and am I inclined that there is a hardware issue, either a sensor or a wire that is making contact or not.
Anyone a hunch or experienced this before?
