hi we are trying to do our first engraving using the rotary tool however the machine runs to left hand side, rotary tool spins about 4 times then laser unit moves to the left 10mm and stops. i have included screen grabs of the settings we are using - hopefully someone can hel pin letting us know why it isn’t working. mug dimensions are 110 mm with a diameter of 80mm.

Not sure I fully got the reaction from the laser unit, but it might be like I had myself.
When framing something on the Creality Rotary Pro, it seems to move too much - it turns a couple times instead of just the distance needed to frame the actual project. What I did is use a soda can to see how it would behave for engraving, and it did just fine. I don’t know why when congifuring the rotary, it seems to go nuts.
The soda can works great because of the paint removed by the laser. Give it a try so you don’t ruin your mug - it might be fine.

I haven’t played a lot with the rotary tool, and I’ve since then changed computer. I’ll try to hook it up this week-end and check how I had it setup and send you the configuration I am using (if I succeed).
