I purchased an Ender 3 V3 Plus about three weeks ago. TOday after printing a Temp tower, I started another print and noticed the printer had not started moving. The Creality Print Window had an error message and when I checked the Touchscreen, it said CL2529 Level Sensor may experience external interference. I stopped the print and tried to Home the Z axis. I noticed that the Z axis wouldn’t get closer than about an inch from the print bed.
I checked the console in FluidUI and there is an error message, !! {‘code’: ‘key529’, ‘msg’: ‘PR_ERR_CODE_G28_Z_DETECTION_TIMEOUT: G28 Z try probe out of times.’, ‘values’: }
It sounds like a software issue, maybe try an downgrade firmware installation?
Thanks CalvinBVN , I did upgrade the FW over the weekend because it advertised that the CP6 g-code issues were fixed. The printer would work off and on aver the past few days. Sometimes with the error sometimes flawlessly. If it were a true hardware issue, I believe I would be SOL. I am at 3.23, so I just rolled back to 3.21. Fingers crossed.
Same here!!
Initially, my Ender 3 V3 Plus created a good bed mesh after calibration using firmware version 1.2.3.21. However, after upgrading to firmware version 1.2.3.23, I noticed a calibration issue. The hotend would no longer lower all the way to the bed. Instead, it would often stop about 1 cm above the bed and move up and down several times without making contact. Occasionally, it would stop with an error message stating that the hotend might be experiencing external interference.
After rolling back to firmware version 1.2.3.21, I was able to calibrate the bed mesh properly again, but the interference error message still occurred occasionally. In such cases, I simply turn the printer off and back on.
Ender 3 V3 Plus purchased in December 2024
I also get error CL2529 on my Ender 3 V3 (no suffix… what a terrible naming scheme).
I dismiss it on the touchscreen each time with no trouble so far. Does anyone know where the level sensor is on the printer?
After rolling back to 1.2.3.21, I have not had the error return and printer is working great. Four separate prints, long and short with zero issues.
After several power cycles, I am experiencing the same issue with version 1.2.3.21. In about one out of four attempts, the calibration completes successfully. However, in the other cases, the calibration results in errors.
The issue starts during the nozzle cleaning process. The hotend does not fully lower to the bed. Instead, the nozzle moves up and down slightly several times without touching the bed. Following this, it extrudes filament into the air rather than onto the bed.
How can I resolve this problem?
I am having the same problem, mine also makes this juttering noise when its lowering, i don’t know if that’s normal.
Here’s what i’ve discovered so far - if any of the files you have in your project, or the g-code filename that’s created from it have any special characters, such as underscore or dash, it makes the printer do weird things, probe the air, do a 10 min nozzle clean etc, and then error.
if you get any and all special characters out, it runs correctly.
okay I will give this a try… avoiding underscore or dashes… stick to letters onlyin the filename.
Works for me! Thanks QuietMike
Can Creality please fix this issue.
Absolutely I had same problem on the 1.2.3.23
I back to 1.2.3.21 and works well now
I did revert to the last revision Creality Print V5 and firmware V1.2.3.10 and now prints every time - no issues 10+ prints.
Issue is related to new versions of fiirmware (and related software)
I resolved CL2529 on my 3v3 Plus. This issue is very likely related to recent Firmware update (1.2.3.23) and or recent Creality Print version V6.0.3.1591 which I upgraded to and immediately noticed the CL2529 error on first print after upgrade. I did perform SELF CHECK, it didn’t make a difference. Before messing with firmware 1.2.3.23, its way easier to download and use one of the previous Creality Print versions like V6.0.1.1375 (release Jan 10) or V6.0.2.1574 (release Jan 19). I rolled back to V6.0.2.1574 using Firmware 1.2.3.23 and so far no more CL2529 errors. Good luck all.
Hello, I have the same problem, how do I install an older version of the firmware?
I have the same error CL2529, does anybody know how to fix it?, how can I downgrade the version, now I have 1.2.3.23
I have the same error CL2529, but in my case I printed more 20 different models after upgrade before I met this error. Also I have two the same printers with same firmware version, but error appears only one.
I was downgrade firmware from1.2.3.23 to 1.2.3.21 version by advice from Mikken, but it not helped.
The head can’t touch to the plate steel still.
What else I can do for fix that issue?
Should I change the electronical plates from head?
How do i roll back the firmware.
I tried going to V6.0.1.1375 but seems to have an issue so I went to the last version 5 “V5.1.7.10514”. I sent the print via the pc app instead of USB with the Print Calibration box check, it took a long time running calibration and went into printing so I am staying on this version tell I here version 6 is fixed.
