I have Creality Hi, after starting it I started printing what was on the printer by default (waste container and speed test print) everything came out ok. Then from CrealityPrint6.1 I selected a test print of the cube and the ship. Neither of them came out correctly and ended with the cm2789 error. No matter what I download and send to print, everything ends incorrectly. Only the default prints come out ok. Can anyone help?
A small update to the topic.
On the left, Benchy cut and sent to print on CrealityPrint v6.1 and on the right, the same project cut and sent to print on CrealityPrint v5.1.7.
When this broken print on the left ended, the hotbed moved forward rapidly until you could hear the y-axis belt jumping on the stepper motor gear, and after clicking OK, the printer screen displayed the message CM2789 Abnormal resistance in the y-axis movement direction motor released. Fix issue and restart.
In the case of print cut and send on CrealityPrint v5.1.7 , the one on the right side of the photo, there was no such strange behavior.
Also, the same project cut and sent to print by OrcaSlicer v2.3.0 ends with failure.
Default models for printing placed by Creality on the machine come out perfectly, after downloading the gcode of these prints I read in the header that they were cut in CrealityPrint v5.1.7
I contacted Creality online consultant, he sent several links to their wiki, which indicated a poorly closed camera shutter, loose screws and added that they were very sorry for the problems and that’s all they can advise at the moment
When the printer is turned off mechanically everything moves smoothly.
When turned on manually forcing the head movement you can also easily go around the entire hotbed.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?
I have the same problem with the X-axis. The seller sent a new X-axis driver, but it doesn’t work. The X-axis is not moving. How do I register a new driver in the printer?
In my case, the problem is clearly the software/firmware for the hardware.
All the prints that Creality placed in the printer by default came out correctly, but what I cut and sent to print came out wrong or the printer stopped with an error of axis-Y
I was really irritated by this and finally I sent the printer back with a request for a refund.
This was my second printer from Creality, another one with problems, so I’m fed up… which is a shame because the product has potential.
If I get a refund, I’ll probably buy the Bambu A1 Combo.
